Privacy Policy
1. What the app collects
When you install the app, Wix asks you to approve the permissions it needs. Within those permissions, the app accesses:
- Your site and store identifiers
- Your account contact details, such as your name and email address
- Your product catalog data — titles, descriptions, prices, availability, images, identifiers, and categories
- The feed settings you create, such as category mappings and rules, and the credentials that connect your channels
Your catalog data belongs to you. We process it only to provide the service you request. The app does not collect your shoppers’ personal information.
2. What this site collects
This site collects technical information automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, approximate location, the page that referred you, the pages you view, and how long you stay. It also collects the details you submit through forms. We use Google Analytics and HubSpot to measure how visitors use the site and which campaigns bring them here, and advertising providers may use cookies to show you more relevant GoDataFeed ads. Some cookies keep the site working. You can set your browser to reject or delete cookies, though some features may stop working if you do.
The demo video loads from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain and sets no YouTube cookies until you press play; after that, YouTube’s privacy policy applies. Sites we link to but don’t operate follow their own privacy policies. Cookies, analytics, and advertising across GoDataFeed sites work as described in the main Privacy Policy.
3. How we use your data
We use the data the app accesses to run the service: building and maintaining your product feeds, matching your product fields to each channel’s requirements, validating data before submission, and keeping your channels current as your catalog changes. We also use it to secure your account, provide support, diagnose problems, prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations. The app’s built-in features also learn from the changes the app makes to your catalog data, not from the catalog data itself.
We use your contact details for service email: setup, billing, support, security notices, and changes that affect the app. Where the law allows and your preferences permit, we may also send product news. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not stop service email.
4. How the app uses AI
The app’s AI features run when you choose to use them. They write product titles and descriptions, suggest categories, and guide you through setup. When you use them, the details in your request go to a third-party AI provider only to generate the result you asked for.
We do not use the content you submit through AI features to train our own foundation AI models. We require the third-party AI providers we use for AI features to process that content under contractual and privacy requirements that prohibit them from using it to train or improve their own models or for unrelated purposes. Review AI-generated content before it goes live on a channel: you remain responsible for its accuracy, completeness, legality, and fit for your business.
5. Where your data goes
Product data goes to the channels you choose to connect — Google, Facebook and Instagram (Meta), Microsoft, and Pinterest — so those channels can list your products. Once a channel receives it, that channel’s own terms and privacy policy govern it.
We also share data with service providers that help us run the app, including cloud hosting, customer support, analytics, communications, security, and AI providers. They may process it only to perform services for us, must protect it under contract, and may not use it for their own marketing. We may disclose information when the law requires it, when we need to protect the rights, property, or safety of GoDataFeed, our customers, or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction.
We do not sell your personal information or your catalog data.
6. Google account connections
When you connect a Google account, for example to send products to Google Merchant Center, Google signs you in and asks for your consent before it grants the app access. Depending on what you enable, the app may access your Google account ID and email address, Merchant Center account details and IDs, and product feed diagnostics.
We use Google user data only to provide and support that connection, never for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any unrelated commercial purpose. We protect it with administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, and only authorized personnel and service providers bound by confidentiality can access it. You can revoke access at any time in your Google Account security settings or by disconnecting Google in the app.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep data only as long as we need it to provide the service, meet our contractual, legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the platform. Uninstalling the app stops syncing. Unless we agree otherwise, we typically delete or anonymize standard account data one month after final account termination, subject to legal holds.
You can request deletion of your personal data at any time, directly at contact@godatafeed.com or through Wix’s data request channels. We act on requests received either way, subject to our legal and contractual obligations and backup procedures.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live — including the EU, UK, and California — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data; to restrict or object to how we use it; to know what categories of data we collect, why we collect them, and who receives them; and to exercise these rights without unlawful discrimination.
Send requests to contact@godatafeed.com. We verify your identity before we act, and an authorized agent can submit a request for you where the law allows, once we verify the agent’s authority and your identity. When we process personal data on your behalf to run the service, we act as your processor and follow your instructions. For your account, this site, and our marketing, we act as controller and rely on contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests, or your consent. If we process someone’s personal data only on a customer’s behalf, we may refer that person’s request to the customer. Our GDPR page has more detail.
9. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your data, including access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, system monitoring, secure development practices, and vendor oversight. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We review and improve our practices as technology and threats change.
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, contact infosec@godatafeed.com, and please hold public disclosure until we have had a reasonable chance to investigate and fix it. Our security page describes the program in more detail.
10. Changes to this policy
When we make material changes, we update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where the law requires, notify you on this site, in the app, or by email before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you acknowledge the updated policy.
